MVA - Old Country Rd & Tennyson Ave. 7/16/13
At around 17:10 hours on 7/16/13, while returning from a small fire on a roof on State Street, Ladder 963 came upon on a box truck on its side at Old Country Rd and Tennyson Ave. Captain McShane immediately notified dispatch
as he found people pinned in 2 separate vehicles. Engines 966 and 969 also returning the fire, were diverted to the scene and the crew of 966 cut 1 aided out of a car that was struck heading west on Old Country Rd, as the crew from 969 cut the front passenger out of the van that was partially crushed by the box truck as it flipped. A total of 5 aided were transported to area hospitals, 2 by Westbury ambulances, 2 by NCPD EAB, and 1 by the East Meadow FD, who where mutual aided to assist. There was also a large fuel spill found on scene, which was scured by the crews of engine 966 & Heavy Rescue 964
